Privacy

DBL Books is a private, invite-only household accounting application. It is not offered for public registration or general public use.

Information handled

DBL Books keeps the household's accounting records: accounts, transactions, invoices, receipts and other evidence, and tax records. Bank and card activity is read from connected providers (Plaid and Wise) only to keep those records. Records are stored in the household's own database and file storage (Supabase) and are available only to its signed-in members.

Google account access

A billing Gmail connection asks only for permission to send email. DBL Books uses it to send invoices and billing messages that a member sends from the app; it does not read, store or delete mail. The connection can be removed in DBL Books, or revoked in the Google Account, at any time. Google user data is not shared with anyone, used for advertising, or used to train models.

Access and security

Every member signs in with a password and a two-factor code. Provider credentials are kept on the server and never sent to the app. This site stores nothing about visitors; signing in here only checks membership so the app can be downloaded.

Removal

A member can ask for their account and connected services to be removed at any time by asking the household administrator.
